Double-injection housings are often used on power tools.

Electric tools generally bear strong electric or mechanical vibration, or work in high and low temperature, high humidity and dusty environment. According to the requirements of different parts of the product, double-injection molding can combine different characteristics of plastics into a complete part, and get good comprehensive mechanical and electrical performance, human-machine operation or water-proof sealing. Therefore, the double-injection housings molding is widely used in the parts manufacturing of electric tools.

1.What is poer tools

A power tool is a tool that is actuated by an additional power source and mechanism other than the solely manual labor used with hand tools.

The most common types of power tools use electric motors. Internal combustion engines and compressed air are also commonly used. Other power sources include steam engines, direct burning of fuels and propellants, or even natural power sources like wind or moving water. Tools directly driven by animal power are not generally considered power tools.

2. What double-injection plastic parts are used on power tools?

Power tools are hand-operated tools driven by electricity. power tools need to work in different working conditions, withstanding high external forces and high voltage and current fluctuations. The parts required to construct them have good strength, insulation and comfortable and comfortable operation. The advantages of using plastics to make power tool parts

1. Plastics have low density, one eighth of steel, one ninth of copper and one third of aluminum. Making parts of power tools can greatly reduce the weight of tools.

2. Plastics are easily obtained by industrial manufacturing, and are cheaper than metals and wood. They can be recycled after being damaged. Wood is a non-renewable resource depending on natural growth and cannot be synthesized in large quantities by chemical production like plastics.

3. Power tools are generally made of high voltage power supply (110-220-380 volts), which has better electrical insulation than metal and wood plastic, and is safer and more reliable as the shell of power tools.

4. Plastics have better toughness and strength, and can better cushion and absorb tool vibration.

5. Compared with wood and metal, plastics can be easily obtained by moulding method to realize mass production, thus low cost.

Material selection for plastic Parts of power tools

1. Nylon plastics are generally used as the matrix material (or ABS material) for the electric domestic tool housing.

Nylon material has good strength and toughness, as well as electrical insulation. In order to obtain more accurate part size, glass fibers are usually added to nylon.

For example, PA6 + GF10%, PA6 + GF20% and so on.

2. TPU soft glue is used for hand-held parts to get good handle.

3. Common plastics such as ABS can be used to make unbearable parts.
